​Granito de Arena (2005)"Granito de Arena is the story of... hundreds of thousands of public schoolteachers whose grassroots, non-violent movement took Mexico by surprise, and who have endured brutal repression in their 25-year struggle for social and economic justice in Mexico's public schools."

Walkout (2006) "Based on a true story, student activist and Mexican-American Paula Crisostomo, tired of being treated unequally, decides to take action and stage a walkout at five East Los Angeles high schools in 1968, to protest educational conditions and complain of anti-Mexican educational bias along with some 10,000 students."

McFarland U.S.A (2015) "​Jim White moves his family after losing his last job as a football coach. He sees that some of the students are worth starting a cross-country team and turns seven students with no hope into one of the best cross-country teams."

Stand and Deliver (1988) "The story of Jaime Escalante, a high school teacher who successfully inspired his dropout prone students to learn calculus."

Spellbound (2002) "​Spellbound follows eight teenagers on their quest to win the 1999 National Spelling Bee."

Brooklyn Castle (2012) Brooklyn Castle follows five chess champions at I.S. 318 - a school which has won more championships than any other high school in the nation - even though 70% of the children's families live below the Federal Poverty line. 

American Promise (2013) A film about two young Black boys from middle class families and their journeys through Independent Schools.

I Learn America (2013) "At the International High School at Lafayette, a Brooklyn public school dedicated to newly arrived immigrants from all over the world, five teenagers strive to master English, adapt to families they haven’t seen in years, and create a future of their own while coming of age in a new land."

TALKS ABOUT RACISM IN EDUCATION

Jeffery Duncan-Andrade: "Equity or Equality: Which one will we feed?" Talks at Google. The esteemed scholar and educator gives a talk about the real difference between equity and equality, and the importance of moving toward equity with the understanding of why equality is no solution.
